Syllabus and Curriculum

At our school, we follow the comprehensive syllabus outlined by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and adhere strictly to the CBSE guidelines. The medium of instruction is English, ensuring that our students gain fluency in the global language while mastering the curriculum content. In addition to core subjects, we enrich our students’ learning with a well-rounded selection of subjects such as:
  • Moral Science: Building character and instilling ethical values.
  • Computer Science: Developing essential IT skills and digital literacy.
  • Abacus: Enhancing mental arithmetic skills and concentration.
  • General Knowledge: Expanding awareness of current events and world affairs.
  • Hindi: Nurturing multilingual abilities and fostering a deeper connection to our national language.

Assessment Structure

Our school implements the Uniform System of Assessment and the Remodeled Assessment Structure introduced by CBSE from the academic year 2019–2020. This system ensures a balanced and transparent evaluation of students’ academic progress and overall development.
  • Total Marks: 100 (per subject)
  • 80 Marks: Based on the Board Examination.
  • 20 Marks: Internal Assessment, comprised of:
  • Periodic Tests (10 Marks): Regular written evaluations conducted at set intervals.
  • Notebook Submission (5 Marks): Recognizing the importance of organized, well-maintained study material.
  • Subject Enrichment Activities (5 Marks): Practical applications, projects, and co-curricular tasks that deepen understanding of the subject matter.
  • To pass, students must secure at least 33% in both components (Board and Internal Assessment) for each subject.

Formative Assessment FA

Formative Assessments are ongoing evaluations conducted throughout the academic year to monitor students’ day-to-day performance and engagement. There are four Formative Assessments in total: Two assessments during the first term. Two assessments during the second term. Each Formative Assessment contributes 10 grade pointsand includes:
  • Written Tests: Assessing comprehension and retention of taught concepts.
  • Home Assignments and Classwork:Encouraging consistent effort and responsibility.
  • Oral Tests, Quizzes, and Seminars: Building confidence and verbal communication skills.
  • Group Discussions and Activities: Promoting teamwork, critical thinking, and creativity.
  • Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs): Checking quick reasoning and grasp of basic concepts.
  • Worksheets and Project Work: Providing hands-on, practical experience to solidify learning.

Summative Assessments

Summative Assessments are formal, end-of-term examinations that measure the cumulative knowledge gained during a particular term.In this detailed syllabus and curriculum framework, we prioritize continuous evaluation, inclusive learning methodologies, and robust assessment techniques. This ensures our students not only excel academically but also develop the skills, confidence, and values needed to succeed in life.
  • Two Summative Assessments per year
  • First Term Assessment (September): Covers the prescribed syllabus for Term 1 only.
  • Second Term Assessment (March): Focuses on the syllabus for Term 2. The content from the first term is not repeated. By structuring these assessments on a semester basis, we ensure that students are assessed on material they have most recently studied. This approach reduces pressure, clarifies expectations, and provides an accurate reflection of each student’s academic progress and understanding.
