Rules on Discipline

To foster a respectful, disciplined, and supportive learning environment, students and parents are expected to follow these guidelines:
  • High Standards of Conduct: The school expects all students to consistently maintain a high standard of discipline and behavior. They are encouraged to act with integrity, respect, and consideration in all their interactions.
  • Respect and Courtesy: Students must be polite, honest, and well-behaved both within and outside the school campus. Respect for elders, teachers, administrative staff, and visitors is paramount.
  • Personal Neatness: Students should take pride in their personal appearance and hygiene. They must keep classrooms and school premises clean and tidy, and ensure that books and notebooks are maintained neatly.
  • Speaking English: To promote fluency in English, students are strictly instructed to communicate only in English on school grounds and on the bus. Parents are also encouraged to support this effort by fostering English conversation at home.
  • Proper Uniform: Students must always be in clean, neat, and proper school uniform.
  • Up-to-Date Contact Information: The school maintains a record of each parent’s or guardian’s address, telephone number, and email ID. Any changes should be communicated to the school office immediately.
  • Progress Reports: Parents are required to collect their child’s progress reports on the designated date mentioned in the school’s circulars.
  • Maintaining Silence: Students must remain silent during the general assembly and while moving to classrooms afterward. Silence is also strictly enforced in the library to ensure a conducive learning environment.
  • Parental Support: Parents are expected to cooperate with the school’s rules by ensuring their child’s regular attendance, punctuality, and disciplined behavior. They should also take an active interest in their child’s academic progress.
  • Homework Responsibility: Parents should review their child’s homework and provide a signature as confirmation. Students are required to complete all assigned work on time.

Leave of Absence

Students are not permitted to leave the school premises during school hours without prior written approval from the head of the institution. An official out-pass must be issued before leaving.

Requests for medical leave must be accompanied by a valid medical certificate. Without this, medical leave will not be approved.

Leave will only be granted for valid reasons. Parents or legal guardians must submit a written application in advance, and the leave form must be completed and signed by the parent or guardian.

All leave applications must be addressed either to the Principal or the Class Teacher.

Recommendations to Parents/Guardians

To support your child's overall development and ensure a smooth educational experience, we request parents and guardians to follow these recommendations:
  • Support Regularity and Discipline: Collaborate with school authorities by ensuring your child’s regular attendance, punctuality, and adherence to school rules. Take an active role in their education, as raising a well-rounded student is a shared effort between the school and family.
  • Respond to Communications: Please read all school circulars and notices carefully, and respond promptly. Timely action ensures that your child’s educational experience remains smooth and uninterrupted.
  • Limit Unnecessary Interruptions: Avoid applying for leave or visiting your child during class hours unless absolutely necessary. Consistency in attendance and an undisturbed learning environment are crucial for your child’s academic progress.
  • Prioritize Health and Safety: Do not send your child to school if they are suffering from contagious illnesses such as chickenpox or mumps. Ensure they return only after receiving medical clearance to prevent health risks and minimize disruptions in their education.
  • Communicate with School Leadership: Parents and guardians are encouraged to meet with the principal or head of the school on designated working days. If needed, meetings outside these times can be arranged by prior appointment to discuss your child’s educational needs.
  • Update Contact Information Promptly: Notify the school immediately if there are any changes to your address, phone number, or email. Accurate contact details ensure effective communication between school and home.
  • Attend Parent-Teacher Meetings: Participating in parent-teacher meetings helps you understand your child’s progress, address concerns, and build a strong partnership with the school.
  • Adhere to Fee Payment Schedules: Please pay school fees on time and as per the established guidelines. Financial regularity supports the smooth functioning of the institution and the provision of quality education.
  • Appropriate Attire in School Premises: Parents are expected to dress appropriately when visiting the school. Wearing items like lungis or shorts is strictly prohibited, as it sets an example of respect and decorum within the school environment.
  • Collect Progress Reports in Person: On open days, visit the school to personally collect your child’s progress report. This direct involvement shows your commitment to their education and development.
  • Ensure Attendance Requirements: Maintain a minimum of 90% attendance to ensure your child is eligible for promotion to the next grade. Regular attendance is a key factor in both academic success and overall growth.
